A structured approach to finding finance.
When acting as finance broker, Regalis helps define the funding requirement, prepare the submission and approach relevant external providers. The lender assesses the application and determines the facility it is prepared to offer.
REGALIS / BorrowersFinance arranged through external providers
Our broking role begins with the transaction you want to complete. We organise the information required and explain the structures that may be available through the providers we can access.
Before proceeding, you should understand which providers are being considered, any limitations on the comparison and how Regalis is remunerated. An arrangement with an external lender is distinct from a direct lending proposal.
If a Regalis-related funding option is also considered, the relationship and potential conflict should be explained. The client needs a clear basis for understanding the options presented.

Know who provides the finance and makes the decision
In a finance broking engagement, Regalis helps organise the requirement and approach relevant external funding providers. The service scope should explain which providers can be accessed and the limitations of that comparison. A broking discussion should not imply that every provider in the market is being considered or that an external lender will accept the application.
Compare the proposed structure as well as the price. Security, payment requirements, conditions, term, guarantees, exit arrangements and transaction costs can materially affect how a facility works. Fees, commissions and relevant relationships should be explained through the applicable engagement and disclosure documents. If a related funding option is considered, understand that relationship and any conflict before making a decision. The external provider controls its own credit approval and facility documentation.
Keep the service roles distinct
| Consideration | What to explain |
|---|---|
| Regalis finance broker | Helps define the agreed requirement, prepare information and coordinate approaches to relevant external providers within the engagement scope. |
| External funding provider | Assesses the application, decides whether to offer finance and sets out obligations in its own facility documents. |
| Regalis direct funding route | A separate proposed funding relationship with its own assessment. The funding entity and any related-party relationship should be identified clearly. |
| External client broker | A professional bringing a client to Regalis under a separately agreed broker relationship. Their responsibilities and communication role need to be established. |
The process, explained
- 01
Describe the requirement
Start with the amount required, use of funds, timing and source of repayment. Identify the borrower and any broker or adviser involved so communication follows an agreed route from the outset.
- 02
Confirm the funding relationship
The team considers whether the scenario may be assessed for direct funding or through Regalis acting as finance broker. The proposed lender, service provider, costs and responsibilities are explained as the structure develops.
- 03
Review evidence and proposed terms
Detailed assessment can involve financial records, valuation, security review and legal documentation. Read the proposed costs, conditions, payment obligations and exit assumptions together. Raise missing information and changes promptly, before relying on an indicative position.
- 04
Document, settle and monitor
A transaction proceeds only when the relevant decision maker approves it and required conditions are met. After settlement, follow the facility reporting and repayment requirements and discuss material changes before an obligation is missed.
Questions before you proceed
Is Regalis the lender when acting as broker?
The external provider is the proposed lender in a broking arrangement. Regalis coordinates the service within the agreed scope. Ask for confirmation of the funding entity and who makes each decision if the structure changes.
How is the broking service paid?
The applicable arrangement may involve client fees, provider commissions or another disclosed structure. Request the relevant explanation before proceeding and understand whether costs apply at particular stages, including if a transaction does not settle.
Start a considered conversation
A clear initial outline helps identify the next decision and the evidence needed to support it. Include the proposed timing and any complication that could affect the structure. Further information and transaction-specific terms follow through the appropriate assessment process.
